The Jardine looks better and sounds better than the supertrapp but both sound so much better than the stock muffler. The only problem I see with the Jardine is that it has cheap or just very thin chrome, it has a tendency to turn light gold to a brown at the front end. And it rusts pretty bad, had mine for 3 years and was about rusted through. You can get either muffler at denniskirk.com I think the Jardine runs around $130.00 and the supertrapp is like $230.00. Or you could try what I did, found a friend that has a Harley and when he changed mufflers he gave me his old ones. They fit rather well and with slight mods sounds real good.
As for the white spacer, my bike is an '87 and still has the spacer. I really can't see where it aids the backfires. Unless you like them cause mine backfires and always has. The only thing I have noticed that helps the backfires is air temp. and humidity.
